Rachel Pott is a freelance writer and communications professional.
She has written for Collectively, Innovate Development, the Humanitarian Coalition and the Ottawa International Writers’ Festival, and she is a full editor at Watching America, responsible for editing English translations of news articles and manage a team of South Korean and Japanese translators.
Rachel has worked in non-profits in the social justice, human rights and health care sectors, including as an intern at Liberty in North Korea and an international development volunteer in Burkina Faso, West Africa. She was a media panelist at JAYU Speaks.
Her interest in writing started while she was teaching ESL in South Korea. Her areas of focus include, but are not limited to, gender and human rights, development, social enterprises, environment, education, and health and technology innovations. Rachel has an academic background in international relations.
